Lyneil is a Pittsburgh, PA native and has recently joined our Team. He is married with one son, Xander, 6 year old.  His Wife Janann Turner, MPT, OCS is also Physical Therapist working here locally in Orange County. Lyneil earned his BS in Exercise Science in 2003 then his clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006, both at Gannon University; Erie, PA.  While at Gannon Lyneil played 4 years of Baseball as a Pitcher, was a 2X All American in Wrestling (HOF 2018) and also played 1 year of Varsity football.

After completing his Doctorate, Lyneil pursued a Sports Physical Therapy Residency from 2006-07 with the sports medicine department at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. In residency, Lyneil underwent intense focused training in sports PT which included orthopedic surgery observation and research at the prestigious Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Sports Biodynamics Lab. Lyneil’s research on ACL injuries related to hip and foot mechanics was Published by the North American Journal of Sports Physical Therapy in 2008, the official journal of the Sports section of the American Physical Therapy Association.  

Lyneil is a Specialist in returning people, especially athletes, back to full participation in recreational and athletic activities. This requires a depth of understanding in all aspects of Sports injuries, Athletic competition, Fitness and injury prevention, nutrition and performance psychology.

Lyneil’s passion is helping people to achieve their best quality of life and function possible.  Lyneil is delivering on his promise to make a change in healthcare and continues to innovate every day. Most recently he has brought a new level to functional fitness training with an exclusive line of patented equipment unlike anything that exists in the current fitness climate. He is excited to share his passion with you!

Lyneil Mitchell is also co-owner of Revolution Fyziogym with his wife Janann Turner, with one affiliate location in Cranberry Twp, PA.  The FyzioGym is a company designed to actualize the Physical Therapy profession during the current Wellness Revolution and fulfilling the Vision 20/20 Statement of the APTA.  

Lyneil has been fortunate to treat and train professional and amateur athletes.  Highlights are Antonio Brown, Troy Polamalu, Shamarko Thomas and Will Allen of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The list goes on to include NFL athletes from the Cincinnati Bengals, Carolina Panthers, Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles and St. Louis Rams including Carson Palmer, Chad Johnson, and David Pollack. WWE superstars Dave “The Animal” Batista, Sheamus, Luke Harper, Jack Swagger, Samoa Joe as well Olympic gold and silver medalists in Track and Field Hyleas Fountain and Mary Wineberg.   Professional boxing heavyweight Brian “The Beast” Minto and mixed martial arts professionals including Josh Rafferty, and Steven Mowry (Butler, PA Native).
